This is week four, if you have been following my Bible verses and study. Here is the next one, if not, that is ok. you can start here and learn or if God leads you to go back and start from the beginning feel free to do so. My posts are going to live on longer than I. for that is How the internet works. Once you put something up it is there forever. So, watch what you post. Nevertheless, let us go to a remarkable story that I asked you all to look at last week. Now, that is a story that has and will live on forever and has everlasting meaning. It is the story of Joseph A young man who got a coat of many colors that caused many unhappy brothers, yet it brought Joseph to be a great King.
Now if you did not look at the story or do not know where it is. It is in the Old Testament in the book of Genesis 37to 50. these thirteen chapters teach us so much more then I can ever share. Not only do they teach more than I can ever share. Each one of us will get something different out of the story. It is a story that will teach us many different things no matter how many times, we go back to it. God created the Bible to be an everlasting book for all centuries.
However, today I want to share with you the thoughts that God brought to my heart while I was reading the story.
Well, if we start at the first chapter of Genesis 37. We read a young boy was loved more than his other brothers by his father. Which caused him to get a coat of many colors. Not only did his father show more love to Joseph then to the other brothers. Our heavenly Father was also showing joseph that he would have wonderful things happen in his lifetime by dreams.
While Joseph was sharing with his family, what he saw by his dreams. His family grew to not like him even more. His father knew that God brought more to Joseph than any other family member, as that happened the father just knew to keep quiet.
Yet, as the story goes on just in the first chapter his brothers did not like the favor, the Joseph had over his life. Therefore, when they the brothers were working out in the field. The brothers wanted to do something to their brother really, they wanted to kill him nevertheless, one of the oldest brothers shared that, that is not something they really should do. hence, the brothers listened to their older brother. Still not being happy about joseph being favorite of their fathers they agreed to put him in a pit. While most of the brothers were eating bread-taking a break- from the work they were doing. There was a caravan of Ishmeelites that came from Gilead with their camels. The brothers agreed to sell their little brother for twenty pieces. To the Ismalights. Wow, what a loving family
As they did so a little while one of the other brothers came by the pit that he thought his brother was in. Rubin, the brother then said let us take the coat and bring it back to our father with some kids of goats’ blood on it and let our father think he was killed.
Well, the father did think that his son was killed and shared with all the family. That life would not be the same and his sadness would go on until his meeting with his grave.
While that was happening at Jacobs home. The end of just the first chapter shares with us. Josephs new life was not going to be easy at any point it now starts out that He was sold again
And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, and captain of the guard. Now, genesis thirty-eight takes us on a back story about the brother of Joseph who was one who had the idea to sell Joseph his brother Judah. God takes us on this back story therefore we can see how sin can take hold of us. If we do not do what is correct
Genesis 39 brings us back to what is happening with Joseph as he was told in more than one dream by the Lord, he was going to rule over many.at this time, this is not what is happening. Now Potiphar does see that God has his hand upon him. As a result, Potiphar entrust, him with all that he has. How one might think that is great nevertheless, now, happens Joseph meets Potiphar wife. Who is not so happy to have him among her household? So, she tries to trick Joseph to sleep with her. Where Joseph realizes that he is not going to let his master down and do such a deceitful thing, so he flees Joseph also knows he did not want to dishonor God.
Potiphar wife did not care about God or the truth she just wanted Joseph not to have the power that her husband gave him so, she made her lie a story for all to here.
Potiphar believe his wife so now; Joseph story gets harder for him. He is thrown into Prison bounded and chained. To sit for years and years. God shows a special hand over him, as a result, the prison guard shows him favor. Letting him take care of all that is in his prison area.
Now as we approach Genesis forty, the prison gets two more prisoners. The king of Egypt charges his chief baker and Cup Bearer into the prison. For doing something wrong against the King. The prison guard puts them in the ward with Joseph. Therefore, now Joseph must look over them. As the story goes the two of the kings’ men have a dream. And joseph finds out that they are sadden by bye the dreams they have. Yet, Joseph shares that he can decipher dreams with Gods hand upon joseph. So, the two men share the dreams they have with Joseph.
During this time joseph also shares if when they get out of the prison that they do not forget about him. Nevertheless, they forget about young Joseph, we now come to chapter Forty-one, where Joseph is sitting for about another two years. Time is passing and all have forgotten. A side note always remember No matter what is happening in life God never forgets anyone of his children. But let us get back to the13 chapters that teach us so much about having a heart that waits on the Lord no matter the situation.
In this next part if you have read on during the end of Josephs last second year in prison. The Cup Bearer was with Pharaoh.
And Pharaoh Shared with him that he had a dream that he felt he needed to know. Now, the Cup Bearer did remember Joseph currently. Because As Pharaoh
Shared and tried to find all in is kingdom. an answer to his dream. Pharaoh
Could not find anyone to give him the answer to his dreams. Pharaoh Also shared with his cup barer the two dreams he had. Suddenly, the Cup barer remembered his days in prison and the young man Joseph. SO, the Cup Barer told Pharaoh About Joseph. As the cup barer shared with Pharaoh.
He (Pharaoh) Asked for them to get Joseph from the prison. Joseph had to clean up himself to see Pharaoh. as joseph went to Pharaoh.
He shared with him that he could only decipher dreams because God was with him. joseph listened to all that Pharaoh.
Had to say about the dream. then Pharaoh
Was so grateful with Josephs answers to the dream that he let him rule over all of Pharaohs Land. Now joseph knew that this was only because of Gods favor over him.
At this time as I have shared most of the story with you all I do not want to give you it all not because I do not want to share with you how the story goes. hence, I know God may have a little different revelation for you just know as I am sure you do there is still about nine more chapters, and we only got to Joseph being around 30 years of age. The story now has an uphill life to it for Joseph. Then Joseph gets to help his family with all that God really trusts him with. As we see in this story the evil is brought to good for Gods glory. If you know the story of Job. His life changes for good as well. And as we wait on the Lord and not our understanding. God will bring it all to pass in his timing.
Now, the story in the bible will always be the same
however, at this time I want to share with you all what God has at this time shown me. Waiting on him is more magnificence than anything else we can do. As last week I spoke about living in the valley with a lily. You may be in the valley. We see that Joseph was in the valley for most of his life waiting and waiting and waiting on the Lord to make it right. it was a little over 20 years for God to humble Joseph and show him romans 8:28.
This journey started when he was seventeen until about 37 years of age.
Now as we have read the story and just turned page by page it was not that easy for joseph to live in the valley. Nevertheless, Gods hand was over Joseph. I do believe that gods hand is over every one of his children. However, the lessons that I have learned over the years in this story have been priceless.
Let me share what I mean by this. God has showed me even when I am in the valley, he will do for you. It may not be the way you want it. The world may turn on you. You may feel like no one wants to hear your story or help you while you are in your valley. Yet, the waiting is long, but the lessons will come. He will make it right in his timing. Now, with all the years that Joseph was wronged, or people did not believe in his dreams that God had for him. He had hope. He had no bitterness or unforgiveness in josephs heart. during this time of waiting. He was or had a great heart for all. Showing the love of the Lord. As my words end for today’s long blog
Just know as we have read the story of the Coat of Many Colors. The waiting and the mishaps all happened. With Romans 8:28 and Genesis 50:20 God was in the mix for sure with all his glory all over it. YES, AND AMEN!
Now if you were thinking where our bible verses are to keep in our heart and m. rise
Well, you should know at this time it is Romans 8:28 and Genesis 50:20 which state
Romans 8:28 [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Genesis 50:20 you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.

Also, now this week if you have time which we should always be available for the Lord.
I would like you to look at the life of a woman who name means favor and grace. Do you know who this woman is?
It is Hanna this story is found in First Samuel -2 read up until verse twenty-two in first Samuel 2.
She is a woman that trusts God for a child. It is another powerful story about waiting on the lord to make it right in your life. Believing in the impossible that only God can do what no one else can. When you trust fully only in him for all.
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the bible that gives us your children the truths of what you can do when the world. Gives up on your children. When the world lies to us. That your son gave his life for us, I know in the next few days we will be celebrating your sons return his raising from the death was not for anyone else but your children to see how much you loved us. Taking your son’s life to save us from our sins. To bring your glory back to us. To see you are the only truth and light.
