Do You Feel Forgotten?

Before you get started in reading this week’s blog. I want you to think of a time that you may have felt like you were forgotten. Maybe it was a birthday, Anniversary, an appointment for something special or maybe you think god has forgotten you. For whatever it was.  How did it make you feel?

I am sure you may have felt hurt, sad, or even let down. Well, here is a secret. First when life is going great and it looks like you have so much to offer to the world. You can be insured that the world will celebrate you and your victory. However, there will be a time in this world if it has not already happened to you. You will be forgotten. That great moment at work, that wedding day party, the birth of your child, or whatever moment was important. Has now faded. Your worldly victory is gone and people are now on to the next moment.  In some cases, I can even share with you not only did your moment fade and you may have been forgotten but some may have even turned on you.  While, you were in the lime light you thought. Wow! This is great you were now the cat’s meow and you would always be known and never forgotten. Believe me that will only last a short time before you are alone and forgotten.

Now, the good news is even if you think god has forgotten about you. That is so far from the truth. As I have shown you in his word that Deuteronomy 31:6 ^be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” and Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Did you know, even in the bible there are many stories where it looks like god forgot the people that were written about. Let’s look and see who they were. Starting with joseph.  He had years of feeling like he was for gotten. Starting with his family putting him in a pit and selling him off as a slave. His brothers did not want to celebrate him. In fact because, his dad made his brothers feel like they were not important and put joseph on a pedestal. That made the brothers even madder and made them want him gone even more. Now how horrible is that not even your family loves you and they want you gone.

 We were even shown by Joseph’s actions, that he stayed faithful to god.  He had dreams from god telling him that he will do great things in his life. However, even though he had the dreams from god god did not let him know how long it would be before they came to pass.  Or even let him know the trouble that would come before him. Even at some point it looks like god had forgotten him.  Next, we can go to Noah.  He waited 100 years for the flood, Abraham waited for 25 years for his promised son, Moses waited 80 years to liberate his people from Egypt, David waited 12years to rule Israel, and you have Ruth, Joeb, and Paul. And so many more but the biggest one is even Jesus, born king of the Jews, had to wait over 30 years before presenting himself to Israel.  (He still waits to rule as king).   

As you look at all of the biblical people in the bible. He came through it all for them. He did not leave them or for sake them. As he promises all through the bible. He is faithful to his children.  I can tell you the truth, that we will leave him or for sake him at some time. However, he will be there with open arms welcoming us back.  As long as we ask for forgiveness. So, how can we question god on how long we should wait on him or think that he has forgotten us. Look who is in the mix of it all. His son.  I tell you, we are sinners and do not deserve to be forgiven. His son came only so that god would forgive us and save us from the world.  Jesus his son, was perfect and did not deserve to have that done to him. So, if god could have done that to his son for us. How much more could god still want to do for us?  No matter what your storm of life is.  Or, how you feel alone, forgotten, ridiculed, or miss treated by the world.

Just hold on and pray, have faith, hope and Joy. He will bring you through it all. In his timing.    He promises that you will be better off after he is done with your storm. That your storm will also show his glory in it all. What more could one ask for.

Dear Heavenly Father,

 As I kneel down by your feet with my readers. I come boldly to you. To first, thank you for your word that says I am a child of yours and that I am in the palm of your hand. Protecting us from the world’s troubles. As well as knowing you will not leave us or forsake us. We may not understand the storms of life but, what I do know is I will shine my lite for your glory during it all. I know you have not forgotten me. My cross may be heavy, my burdens may be trying but I do know you have it all. In your timing you will make it all right.  Today, as I have written about many biblical story’s to show you have not forgotten about us. That we just need to wait on you. If you did it for them. You will do it for us. The story that rings so loud to my heart.  Is the one about Jesus your son! Where you brought him into the mix of it all. That we are all your children. BUT!!!! Your son if you could have brought him so much hurt and put him on the cross for all of us. To me that means WOW! HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE THE WORLD! That does not let you rain. I am thankful that I do have belief in my heart. That I have found the truth as well. That my faith even though it started as a mustard seed of faith. It has grown as a mustard tree. Thank you for it all. As my readers and I go through the day please no matter what the world brings our way. Let us be a light for you to show the world. We may be in the world for this short time but we are your children and we will not put our light behind a bushel. To hide your glory from all that we meet.  “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

I love you for it all. And In Jesus name I pray AMEN!

Today, I have to give some of my credit of writings to a book that I am reading. It is a book called Waiting on God by Wayne Styles. If you are looking for a great read. Pick it up. A good humble friend of mine. Told me about it. It has brought a lot of blessings to me while I wait on god during my storm. It is a must read.  Thank you! Doug my humble brother in Christ.

Are You In A Storm?

Did you know as a believer you are either going in to a storm, going through a storm, or coming out of one? At this time and for a while now I have been in a big storm. I can only tell you as I go through this storm my faith is growing bigger and bigger. I am not enjoying the storm that I am going through however, I do know I cannot wait to see how the lord will bring me out of it. Also, I cannot wait to tell my testimony   on how MY GOD worked IT OUT FOR HIS GLORIY.

Believe me he is in control of it all. he will open and close the doors when he is ready.  No man can open a door that he closed or close a door he opened. Just know when you are in a storm. You need to bring all of it to him. In prayer. He knows what is really going on behind the scenes.  Just know he will not fail you. He wil not leave or for sake you. He will bring you through it better off then you were before. All you need is faith as small as a mustard seed. He will move mountains for his children. Just hold on to his word, for his words do not lie. It does not matter what the world says believe me he has you.  my storm is big but, are god is bigger. Carry your cross and be proud for he is there to fight for you. let him be the glory  in good times and in a storm.

Here is where it is in his word.

Romans 8:28, 1 Peter 5:7, Philippians 4:6-7, Matthew 17:20, Nahum 1: 7, Isaiah 25:4-5, Exodus 15:2

Now, let me tell you a little about my storm.

I moved to Texas 7 years ago.  I have a disability that is getting worse over time. Honestly if I would have known it was going to get worse I would not have come to Texas.  But, God knew. Currently in the last 4 years my vision has turned from low vision to almost totally blind.  I now can not see even 2 feet in front of me.  This has caused me to not be able to go outside as much an go for a walk, run, or even go to the gym. Light hurts my eyes. The brighter it is the harder it is to see. My sight is always changing with the weather. My sight is never the same at any point in time.   I have trouble going to the store and getting the items I need. Always needing help. My work life was getting harder to do because of my sight. It was also a toxic and abusive work place.   I could not take that type of work place anymore so, I did pray for months for god to change it for me. As that did not happen. One morning I prayed OK God, it is getting harder for me. Show me what you want me to do. Knowing I may have to quit. Low and behold, I did that day. He shut the door for that job. My doctors are even questioning because my job gave me such stress. That just maybe my sight loss could have been triggered to go faster. I now may be in a $73,000.00 debt.  I am sure that I may be even suffering with some type of depression.  I tried to get another job so, I would not have been without one. No luck there. Finding work while going blind is a challenge as well. Friends are hard to come by as well. When you cannot see people just do not want to be bothered with you. Because, I do not get out much anymore. I am gaining weight. It is hard to be going through this storm. However, god has a plan for why and he will make it right.

Now, as the last 2 weeks blog showed. We are a child of the most high god and standing in the palm of his hand.

Yes!  And because of those two truths. My GOD HAS THIS STORM!!!!

So, let’s take this to the lord and watch him work!

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER,

Thank you for letting me neil down by your feet.  With my readers I come boldly to you knowing. This storm is a big one but you are BIGGER then all.  Please help all of us that are going through a storm. We know we are your children and are standing in your palm. Therefore protect us while you work it out for your glory to show in us.  As you know your word has power and is what is truthful so as a result of the power in your words. I say back to you Romans 8:28, and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Philippians 4:6-7, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Matthew 17:20, He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. Nahum 1:7, The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him Exodus 15:2, “The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. Isaiah 25:4-5, For You have been a strong-place for those who could not help themselves and for those in need because of much trouble. You have been a safe place from the storm and a shadow from the heat. For the breath of the one who shows no pity is like a storm against a wall. Like heat in a dry place, you quiet the noise of the strangers. Like heat by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the one who shows no pity is made quiet. YES father with all of that Please let the Heavens rain down your words in my storm of life.  Let me be alight for you to shine in no matter what the world may bring our way. YOU GOT THIS!

Do You Know Where You Are Standing?

Today you may say. Yes! Of course, I am standing (insert place).  Yes, you may be at home, work, in your living room, outside, or even the bathroom reading this blog.  That is where you are at this time.  Now, you may not like where you are standing at this point in time.

So, my next question is where do you want to be standing (insert place)?  Ok now you may say Hmmm!  I want to be at the beach, your favorite vacation spot, in your bed (laying down),   on line at a local store getting the winning lotto ticket or anywhere but where you are now.

Well I got the best news for you even though you are standing at (insert place).   Or even if you want to be dreaming and want to be standing at (insert place). If you are a believer no matter where you are standing at this moment in time you should know this fact. Once you asked Jesus Christ in to your heart.  God placed you in the palm of his hand. Now, that is the best place to be while you are on earth. I do not even think that one could day dream of a better place to be.

So, as a believer. You now should know you are a child of the most high god standing in the palm of his hand. These are two promises that you are given by god, that I feel are better than any worldly title or place to be. For at some point, if it has not already happened. This world will let you down.  However god in his word promises he will not leave or forsake you.

Here is where these promises are;

John 3:16-17, John 10:27-30, Deuteronomy 31:6, Isaiah 41:10

Let’s just start with these 2 facts (promise) and within the weeks to come. I will expand on his truths and promises to his children.

Now here is my prayer to all.

Dear heavenly Father,

Today, I do come boldly to your throne to say THANK YOU! I am so proud to know that because I do believe in your son. That I am a child   of yours and that you have me in the palm of your hand. I pray that my readers do know this too. For if they do not know   this please use me as a vessel to have your word shine with in my blog / story to show your truths and promises.  Which are:

John 3:16-17“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him John 10:27-30 ^“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.”   Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Deuteronomy 31:6 ^Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Again THANK YOU!!!!  For if anyone of my readers are hurting because of life circumstances I ask you now to bless them through their storms of life. Protect them and give them the strength to go on knowing this is just a storm and you will provide, protect and comfort them through it all.

Do You Know Who You Are?

You may answer this question saying, “Of Course, I know who I am then (Insert Name) or your name with some titles that you got from getting married, working, or with your degree you got for going to school. Which yes of course that is true from a worldly prospective.  But I am here to let you know you are so much more than those worldly titles. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ.

Than this question should be easy to answer. YOU are (insert name   and also say I am a   child of the most high god)  again, if you did not know this  then I want you to know that is more important  than some worldly  titles that you have with in your name . the worldly titles may get you somewhere for a short time but, knowing that you are a child of the most high god will  protect you and bring you more joy in this crazy world. When the world lets you down. Just know being a believer and these truths from the lord up above should set you free from the lies of life.

You are: (These are only a few that god says you are)

A master piece.  Fearfully and wonderfully made.  God’s handiwork. More than conquerors. Blessed and highly favored.  Beautifully made.  The head and not the tail.  A crown of beauty and a royal diadem

Which makes you a child of the most high god!!!

As I do know this fact about myself and want to share it  with you.  Now as I keep writing my posts- blogs in the weeks to come . I will share my story and How this fact  is so real and true. No matter what is going on in your life. I hope my life examples  bring  you closer to the truth of what  Gods word says about you and not what the world says about you. So today to start  it off . Just know MY  ROCK , CONSTANT , and my foundation is in the lord. I am no different from you .   we put on our pants the same way  no matter our life circumstances.

So, with that I do say loud and VERY PROUD.

Dear heavenly Father,

I come boldly to your throne. To say thank you for your words about your children. I am so proud to know who I am in you.   I am glad that my title is knowing that I am a child of the most high god. I know the world has titles for all of us but, at some time we are faced to know that the world will let us down but  you will never do so. please, let my readers know this fact as well. not because of  what I say but because your word says :

Ephesians 3:10 NIV – “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Romans 8:37 yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Luke 1:28 – And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” Proverbs 31:30- “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Deuteronomy 28:13 – And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. Isaiah 62:3 ESV You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

So, Thank You !!!  in Jesus name AMEN ! AMEN!

Welcome And Nice To Meet You!

Hello there! Brothers and  Sisters in Christ,

My name is Teresa. I am writing in hopes that whomever  reads my posts are blessed by my words of faith. That  my posts bring the reader closer to God. I have a great story and testimony that I would like to share so, I can show how Jesus is really alive in this world . Do You Need Prayer?

Today, as I start my Blog. The first thing that I would like to do for all of my readers is pray over all of you. I stumbled over a great prayer that Paul prayed over the Ephesians. I found it to be very fulfilling it is one of the most beautiful descriptions of the fullness of God.

So, here is my prayer for all of you and of course myself with this journey that we will go on together

Dear heavenly Father,

Today, I come boldly to the throne. To pray Ephesians3:14-21 over all that is reading this. As paul did for the Ephesians. I pray that my words back to you, are used to show how much YOU Not me, are real and true I pray as we go on this journey together you use me as a vessel to show them how a mustard seed of faith goes along way. That all things will workout together  for your Glory and that you are really in control of it all.

SO here it is:

¹⁴ For this reason I kneel before the Father, ¹⁵ from whom every family^[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. ¹⁶ I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, ¹⁷ so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, ¹⁸ may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, ¹⁹ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.²⁰ Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, ²¹ to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen
